AR41- Architectural Design VII

Even a small and poor Community needs a Health Care Facility. A small space may be provided for as long as it could serve the need of the community for their health problems and awareness. Its design is simple, regular form and shape and should best fit to its neighbourhood and environment.

The Habitable Bridge is identified with its own Simplicity through the use of form with linear arrangement of spaces, shape, lines and color. Offering its users a relaxing and overlooking view of the sea and cityscape with business establishments. Materials used for the bridge are stainless steel, cables and reinforced concrete, while on its facilities and amenities are glass, stainless steel and prefabricated walling with wooden and PVC mouldings for furnishings. Included in the structure is a Waste Management Facility good for recycling and other waste management. The Bridge is pedestrian friendly wherein walkways is provided for pedestrian, bike rails for bikers and parking space is also provided for stop overs.

AR8- Presentation Techniques II

We were given the privilege to choose what architectural landmark in Davao City to render. I choose the Davao International airport tower because this structure then is new. The presentation technique that I use is watercolour on a watercolour paper, the only available resources that I have then.

Mangrove and Pawikan Conservation Facility and Resort

Formal Context (Light and landscape) – Arcade of row building relates to nature and natural terrain layout of street and pathwalk should conform to the contour of the land. Relationship of buildings to one another and the site is in composition, simple, angles of vision, terrain and scenic background and effect. Beauty and Variety – Form of building in contrast to nature to distinguish the two by using color, lighting and shape to the building. Sense of Direction and Approach – Signs, pathwalk and other wayfinding is provided for the public and also for approach. Environmental Recreation and Relaxation – Provides recreation and relaxation to its users and at the same time an environmental awareness through its protection and conservation facilities and the resort itself.
